Dr. B. W. Roberts

Dr. Roberts has been in practice for over 40 years. Originally from North Carolina, he obtained his optometric degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry after spending two years in the US Army. Now semi-retired, he is in the office three days a week, spending as much of his down time on the golf course as possible.

Dr. Melanie J. Carvell

Dr. Melanie Carvell is originally from southwest Florida. After attending Duke University for her bachelor's degree and the University of Houston College of Optometry for her optometric degree, she moved to Jacksonville to practice with Dr. Roberts.

When not seeing patients or chasing after her three year old, she enjoys reading, cooking and exercising.

Rose Mary

Rose Mary has been with our practice for over 28 years. She is the senior optician, insurance specialist and the friendly face most of our patients remember year to year.

Rose Mary enjoys travelling, spending time with her grandchildren and learning floral arranging.

Becky

Becky has been a part of our practice now for twenty years. As office manager, she is involved in most facets of the business, but still enjoys interacting with our patients as much as possible.

When not busy in the office, Becky enjoys time spent with her two daughters and five grandchildren and planning her next trip overseas.

Patty

Patty is our contact lens manager. Along with taking care of inventory and individual patient orders, she is the "go-to" person for all contact lens questions. Patty also assists in pretesting patients and helping patients select eyewear.

Patty is our resident New Yorker who now lives in Florida with her two sons.

Cristy

Cristy is one of our optometric technicians. She pretests patients, helps in training new contact lens wearers and keeps the front desk running smoothly. She also handles the insurance pre-authorizations.

Cristy is from Jacksonville and is an authority on all things Johnny Cash. She enjoys "myspacing", shopping and working out at the gym.

Peggy

Peggy is also an optometric technician. She pre-tests patients for the doctors and helps train new contact lens wearers in proper lens care. She also keeps the front desk running smoothly, answering the phones and making appointments.

Originally from Indianapolis, IN, Peggy moved south to be near family. She enjoys movies, working outdoors and going to the gym, making her one of the "buffest" grandmothers around.

Kathy

Kathy is one of our newest staff members, an optician with over 19 years experience. She brings with her an extensive knowledge of the newest frame fashions as well as specialty lenses for every hobby and occupation.

When not helping select the perfect frame or ensuring the proper fit of a current pair of glasses, Kathy likes all outdoor activites (camping, hiking) and renovating her home.

Cindy

Cindy is our accounts receivable and billing specialist. When away from her administrative duties, she enjoys helping patients select the perfect eyewear.

Originally from Wisconsin, Cindy moved to Florida with her Navy husband, now retired. They have a son attending UCF.
